Policies

Acceptable Use Policy

Use infrastructure lawfully, within the agreed service scope and without unauthorized access or abuse of networks and third parties.

Prohibited activity

  • Unauthorized access to systems, accounts or data.
  • Malware distribution or use of infrastructure to facilitate compromise.
  • Deliberate network abuse, disruptive traffic or attacks against others.
  • Unlawful activity or use that violates applicable service-provider restrictions.

Software installation and network access must be consistent with the agreed configuration and applicable platform terms. A server’s technical ability to run a program is not permission to use it unlawfully.

Protect the supplied environment

Maintain control of account credentials and installed software. Avoid sharing administrative access unnecessarily. Review program sources and permissions, and remove access that is no longer required.

Operate within the resource and network terms of the service. Discuss unusual compute, storage or traffic requirements before deployment rather than assuming they are included.

Security and incident cooperation

If abuse or a suspected compromise affects the environment, contact the responsible administrator and preserve relevant diagnostic information. Share timestamps and logs without exposing secrets or unrelated client data.

The actual service agreement governs incident handling, access restrictions and any suspension or other measures. Ask for those terms before ordering. See the security checklist for operational preparation.

Third-party responsibilities

Respect software licenses, permitted interfaces and the terms of relevant application or platform providers. For broker projects, identify which party supplies each component and which restrictions apply to it.

Use the published contact routes to clarify a proposed use before deployment. The service terms explain which items require a configuration-specific agreement.
